Day 1 [Day arrival & free at leisure]On arrival, once you have cleared any airport immigration formalities, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation. Free at leisure and overnight at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Kota Kinabalu. Day 2 [Kinabalu National Park & Poring Hot Spring] Depart on a 2hr,90km/55mi drive across the spectacular Crocker Range to the ecologically unique environs of Mt. Kinabalu. Stopping briefly at fruits and souvenirs stalls. At the Park HQ (1,540m/5,000ft), visit the Education Centre and the Botanical Garden to see orchids, rhododendrons, ferns, pitcher-plants, kerosene trees and others. Take jungle walk near the Park HQ and learn more about the Montage Forest. After lunch, depart to Poring Hot Spring. Trek though a hill dipterocarp forest rich in wild fruit trees and animal life, passing giant bamboos and ginger plants with edible flower to reach a jungle – canopy walkway 40m above ground. Then relax in open air outdoor tubs filled with hot/cold running mineral waters. Midafternoon, return to Kota Kinabalu with brief stopovers at fruitstalls.
